“Oh Taste and see that the Lord is good”
-Psalm 34:8

Greetings!!
Our hearts are full as we reflect on all we have seen the Lord do in the past few months.  We thought we would create a newsletter with photos to give you a snapshot of what God has been doing in the 3 ministries we are working with: CRU Grad Networks, New Staff and Intern Development, and Athletes in Action-Berkeley

CRU Grad Networks News:
Tom: PhD in Environmental Health Science. Tomas is doing pioneering work on developing clean water for developing nations.
Jake (center) is getting his Masters at the School of Information and integrating his faith and his academics. He's started a G3 in his department.
Carrie is getting her masters in Social Welfare, works at Children's Hospital Oakland & CRU leading a small group of upper-class women.
Leslie: is earning her Doctor of Optometry. Leslie often has a full-car heading to Reality Church in SF and saw one of her colleagues baptized!!

New Staff and Intern Development
Daniel loves his monthly “Bay Area Training Days” that are held on the UCB, UCD and SFSU campuses.  It is a very enriching time for the New Staff and Interns to gather with peers and talk about life as new missionary on the field.  They gain practical training in field ministry and how to pray and reach out to new to student populations.

Athletes in Action at UC Berkeley

This has been a GREAT year with Athletes in Action-Berkeley. There are more than 50 students in small groups. Over 10 athletes have come to know Christ personally for the first time, or come back to Him.  God inspired us to plan and host 3 amazing retreats this year. 17 went on a Spring break mission trip to the Dominican Republic and their lives were completely transformed!!  6 swimmer gals went and even taught kids how to swim in a jungle river!!  Deep friendships have been forming all year and many of the athletes are banding together to form living communities next year!!

Summer Plans | Colorado State University

In June we will be heading to Ft. Collins Colorado for 6 weeks.  For the first 4 weeks, Margee will be finishing up her Institute of Biblical Studies certificate.  She will be taking 2 classes: Biblical Interpretation and Biblical Communication. Daniel will be a TA for the Bible Study Methods course (his 7th summer serving in this capacity).  Hope will be living with us in Ft. Collins because she’s been chosen to be a summer intern with CRU’s High School Ministry.  Hope and her team of 8 interns will be running programs and serving 800+ CRU missionary kids (like her) who will be in Ft. Collins during the course of the 6 weeks.

This summer marks our 30th Anniversary
...of serving on staff with CRU!!

What a privilege it has been to serve with CRU for THIRTY years!!   We have worked on several campuses: Ohio State, U of Oregon, Idaho State, University of Washington and UC Berkeley.  It is an honor to bring the good news of Jesus to college students, to disciple them to follow Jesus for a lifetime and see so many go to the world.

30 years of GOD’S faithfulness!! During our 30 years on staff , we have received more than 750 paychecks.  99% of those have been FULL paychecks- PRAISE THE LORD!!  Thank you VERY MUCH for your faithful prayers and giving on our behalf!!  We are speechless!!!

The 30/30 Project --- Over the summer we'll also be working on a special project the Lord has put on our hearts to help us meaningfully reconnect with some of our former students.   We're really excited to work on this together!!

We hope these snapshots have given you a picture of what God has been doing in our midst.  It's been a great year.  Psam 63 rings true right now with us, ..."the Lord is good!"

Thank you for your friendship and commitment to us as His campus missionaries!!
